With the brand’s empowering tagline, “Bakit Hindi?”, David encourages Filipinos to embrace indulgence, nostalgia, and local pride—one cup of ice cream-infused taho at a time.

At the official contract signing and press presentation, David was welcomed by Taho Story’s top executives: Jude Paul Espinas, Co-Owner & Chair of the Board, Christian Bulalaque, Co-Owner & CEO and Charlie Rose Hernandez, Co-Owner & CFO.

The brand proudly dubbed him the ‘Pambansang Ginoo’ for his wholesome charm and modern Filipino appeal—traits that perfectly align with Taho Story’s fusion of tradition and innovation.
“The first thing I did was check their Instagram. And then pangalawa, nag-order ako sa Grab. I ordered almost all the flavors… and when I tried it, I was shocked — ang sarap! Gulat-sarap kasi imagine mo, taho na may ice cream? It’s not the usual — it’s unique,” David shared with a smile.
More than just lending his face to the brand, David emphasized the importance of authenticity in the partnerships he takes on.
“Kailangan kong magamit yung aking platform sa magandang bagay. Feeling ko, kasi dapat kung endorser ka, hindi ka lang ‘sikat,’ para sa akin, dapat maganda yung values mo as a person, hindi ba? So, ako naman, I’m just being myself. And siguro, now that I have brands under my belt… kailangan ko pang mas galingan para makatulong din sa mga brand na nagtitiwala sa akin.”
Interestingly, David’s love for basketball played a role in this new partnership. Taho Story’s co-owners first bonded over their shared love for the sport—and with David’s athletic background and charm, he was a natural choice. The brand also teased upcoming basketball-related programs involving their new ambassador.
