Kapuso actress Klea Pineda has confirmed that she and longtime girlfriend Katrice Kierulf have gone their separate ways after three years together.

In an emotional interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ aired Thursday (July 18), Klea opened up about the recent breakup, saying the decision was mutual and rooted in personal growth.
“Yes, Tito Boy, yes po,” she confirmed when asked about the status of their relationship. “May mga kanya-kanya kaming priorities. Mutual decision ‘yung nangyari, mutual ‘yung breakup namin. Umabot na kami sa point na gusto niya unahin ‘yung sarili niya. Gusto ko rin naman unahin ‘yung sarili ko this time, piliin ‘yung sarili ko this time.”
The actress admitted that the split was painful and fresh, having only happened recently. While both gave their best to make the relationship work, Klea said they eventually realized they were no longer helping each other grow.
“Na-realize na rin namin na hindi na kami nakakatulong sa isa’t isa, parang pinupull down na lang namin ‘yung isa’t isa,” she said. “Okay ‘yung dynamics namin… sobrang ganda ng relationship namin ni Kat, pero may mga aspects lang talaga sa buhay namin na kailangan namin piliin ‘yung sarili namin.”
She shared that before doing the interview, she spoke to Katrice to ensure transparency.
“Para lang din alam niya ‘yung nangyayari sa ‘kin and ‘yung mga gagawin ko and ‘yung ie-expect niya and okay naman siya. Okay kami, Tito Boy,” she said.
Klea also addressed a past TikTok post by Katrice that hinted at cheating. She firmly denied any infidelity.
“Bina-value ko ‘yung loyalty, ‘yung love namin, ‘yung respeto ko sa kaniya… hindi ko ever balak sirain ‘yun. No, Tito Boy, sobrang proud akong sabihin ‘yun na no. Hindi ko kayang gawin ‘yun kay Kat kasi masyado kong mahal si Kat,” she explained.
She also dismissed any notion that Katrice cheated on her. “No din, Tito Boy. Of course not. And knowing Kat, hindi niya kayang gawin ‘yon kahit kanino.”
Klea and Katrice had been one of the most admired LGBTQIA+ couples in showbiz. In March 2023, Klea publicly came out as gay during her 24th birthday. She and Katrice, a social media influencer, first met through TikTok and gradually built a strong relationship both in private and public.
In a heartfelt Instagram post earlier on July 18, Klea reflected on their journey together: “Kadamay ko siya sa lungkot, nandyan siya sa tabi ko pag masaya, kasama ko siya sa gitna ng kaguluhan, at higit sa lahat siya ‘yung taong minahal ako sa mga panahon na hindi ko kayang mahalin ang sarili ko.”
Despite the heartbreak, Klea said she has no regrets: “Wala akong pinagsisisihan kasi naging masaya naman kami.”
She concluded with a message of gratitude to the people who supported them: “Maraming salamat sa lahat ng naniwala at nagmahal sa amin.”
