Actress Bea Alonzo set social media abuzz after a video of her playfully saying “Chinese na ako” at the GMA Gala 2025 went viral, igniting both kilig and speculation among fans.

In the TikTok clip, Bea is seen walking with GMA Sparkle consultant Lawrence Tan when she turns to him and says with a wide smile, “Chinese na ako eh!” The video quickly made rounds online following the star-studded event held at the Manila Marriott Hotel on August 2.
The simple, light-hearted remark sent TikTok users into a frenzy, with many wondering if Bea had secretly tied the knot with her boyfriend, businessman Vincent Co, who comes from the influential Co family behind Puregold.
“Feeling ko kinasal na siya, pero secret lang. But I’m happy for Bea,” one user commented.
“Chinese na si Bea at bilyonaryo ang napangasawa? So true siguro ang balita na nauna ang civil wedding, next na Church wedding,” another speculated.
The viral moment came just after Bea confirmed her relationship with Vincent at the same event.
“I think it’s very obvious. Yeah, that we’re together,” she told a reporter when asked about the real score between her and Vincent.
Though Bea has previously spoken about valuing privacy in relationships, her affectionate statement led fans to read between the lines.
“We understand the curiosity,” she said. “I don’t wanna say that people ruin the beautiful things… but I think the most beautiful things are the ones that are kept private and I tend to keep it that way.”
While some critics found the “Chinese na ako” quip “cringe” or off-putting, Bea’s casual supporters quickly came to her defense. Many pointed out that it was clearly a private joke shared with a friend, not meant for public scrutiny.

“Walang masama sa sinabi niya. Pabiro lang ‘yun,” one fan wrote.
“Malay ba niya na makukunan at mapo-post sa TikTok,” another added.
Bea was previously engaged to actor Dominic Roque, but they officially ended their relationship earlier this year. Her blossoming romance with Vincent Co has since taken the spotlight, now gaining even more attention thanks to her viral quip.
