Content creator Bea Borres has spoken up after her ex-boyfriend, non-showbiz personality Meray Yamada, went public about her pregnancy and declared himself the father of her baby.

Meray’s statement, which has since been deleted but already spread online through screenshots, read: “Things may not have worked between Bea and I, but I never said I didn’t want to be there for our baby. I may not have handled our situation the best as of late, but walking away has never been an option for me. I’m here. And I’m going to do whatever it takes to be the best father I can be.
My daughter deserves nothing but the best and I will work everyday to give her the life, love, and support she deserves. I will do better. For as long as I am accepted into our child’s life. Ready or not, I will answer the call with my whole heart.”
Netizens were quick to react, noting that Meray not only confirmed he is the father but also revealed the baby’s gender.
Bea, who was visibly upset by her ex’s public declaration, addressed the issue through TikTok.
“I don’t know if reading comprehension ‘yon or maybe mali or kulang ako ng pagkasabi but it means I never revealed sa public na siya ‘yung dad. Hindi. I never revealed sa kanya na siya ‘yung dad,” Bea said.
She further expressed her frustration, pointing out: “Nagpakilala siya, he also revealed the gender.”
The vlogger clarified that she had no intention of ever disclosing the identity of her child’s father, but Meray himself went ahead and did so.
“Wala rin akong intention or anything, wala talaga akong balak magsalita na sabihin siya ‘yung tatay. But there you go,” she added.
Just recently, Bea emotionally announced through a nine-minute vlog titled “Finding out I’m pregnant + friends reaction” that she is six weeks pregnant. In the video, she shared the reactions of her closest friends, including fellow creator Toni Fowler (Mommy Oni) and actress Alex Gonzaga, who helped her confirm her pregnancy.
“I’m sorry ‘cause, I just want to say sorry to myself ‘cause this isn’t how I imagined doing this, but I’m just so proud of myself, because kaya ko. Kinakaya ko and I love that you could be my biggest and greatest blessing that I could ask for in life,” Bea said tearfully in her vlog.
“I promise you and to everyone that gets to watch this in the future that I’d really, really be the best mom. It’s true that I’m not ready, but I don’t think anyone or anything prepares you for motherhood.”
Despite her pregnancy, Bea also confirmed via Instagram Stories that she will continue her studies at Ateneo de Manila University.
