Former ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ housemate Dustin Yu is setting the record straight—there’s no love team gimmick behind his growing bond with Bianca de Vera.
In a candid interview with Ogie Diaz, Dustin opened up about the real connection they built inside the PBB house.
“Wala talagang love team, totoo talaga siya,” Dustin emphasized when asked about their pairing, dubbed “DustBia” by fans. He clarified that their bond wasn’t scripted or planned.
“Nakapag-build kami ng grabeng friendship, naging sandalan talaga namin ‘yung isa’t isa… Kumbaga si Bianca na ang tumulong sa journey ko para mapagaan kasi talagang ang hirap sa Bahay ni Kuya,” he shared. “Nakakapagod, ang daming challenges na mararanasan. Sobrang swerte ko na nandyan si Bianca talaga.”
When asked about the current status of their relationship, Dustin admitted, “Hindi pa kami,” but revealed he’s looking forward to the possibility of officially courting her.
“Ngayon, ayoko lang talaga mawala ‘yung nabuo namin sa loob ng bahay ni Kuya,” he explained.
Despite not being in an official relationship yet, Dustin confessed he’s not entertaining anyone else. “Ako talaga, to be honest, super rare for me makakita ng ganung tao kagaya ni Bianca so hindi ko na rin sasangayin,” he said.
He also highlighted what makes Bianca different from other women he’s met. “Number one, super happy talaga ako ‘pag kasama ko siya. Sobrang bait rin talagang tao ni Bianca. Sobrang talino, never ako na-bore kapag kausap ko siya, dami kong napupulot na knowledge.”
“Magkaiba kasi kami ng personality. Interesting na parang may iba siyang perspective sa life,” Dustin added. “Kumbaga ako more on sa serious side ako – sa negosyo, sa career, ganyan. Siya, nandyan to be serious din pero mas kaya niyang tumawa, have fun. So ako natutuwa ako kasi nababalanse niya ako.”
If fans weren’t already swooning, Dustin revealed he’s already met Bianca’s parents. Her father even gave him a heartfelt reminder: “Alagaan at huwag sasaktan ang kanilang unica hija.”
Recently, Dustin thrilled fans further when he proposed to Bianca—not for marriage, but to ask her to be his date to the GMA Gala 2025. In a sweet moment shared on Instagram, Dustin surprised Bianca with a candle-lit dinner, LED-lit “GALA?” sign, and a handwritten letter, to which Bianca replied with a soft “yes.”
The moment ended with a warm hug and a forehead kiss—sending the “DustBia” fandom into a frenzy.
Though Bianca is a Kapuso and Dustin is a Kapamilya, the two remain hopeful about the possibility of working together on a project in the future.
