Broadcaster and beauty queen Emma Mary Tiglao of Pampanga emerged as the big winner during the Miss Grand Philippines 2025 preliminary competition, taking home the lion’s share of special awards at the Charity Gala Night held Sunday, August 17, at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila in Parañaque City.
LionhearTV was among the select media guests invited by BlueWater Day Spa, one of the evening’s major sponsors, who graciously hosted a table for its partner media during the glamorous event.
Tiglao, a veteran in the pageant scene, bagged six awards: Miss Mestiza, Miss NutriXpert, Miss Regroe, MWell Health & Wellness Ambassador, Miss Casino Plus, and Miss Photogenic.
Her closest rival, Anita Rose Gomez of Zambales, another seasoned pageant contestant and considered one of the frontrunners to succeed reigning queen CJ Opiaza, secured three titles — Miss Megan Beauty, Miss Proshot, and the MWell Choice Award for Health and Wellness.

Meanwhile, Margarette Briton of Bicolandia, a newcomer to national pageantry, walked away with two awards: Miss Hairfix and Miss Graze Yourself.
Other highlights included the Creative Culture Costume competition, where the top six were:

Beyond the glitz, the event also served as a charity dinner, raising funds for the organization’s advocacies, including tourism and peace campaigns, scholarships for underprivileged youth, and relief efforts for survivors of recent typhoons.
A total of 29 delegates from across the Philippines and overseas Filipino communities are competing for four crowns: Miss Grand International Philippines, Reina Hispanoamericana Philippines, Face of Beauty International Philippines, and Miss Asia Pacific International Philippines.
The winner will succeed CJ Opiaza of Zambales, who made history last year as the first-ever Filipina to win the Miss Grand International crown. (with reports from Cassiopeia Janelle Calamaya)
