Ivana Alawi’s latest vlog, spotlighted Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Celebrity Collab Edition Big Winners Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca, fondly known as BreKa, who shared hearty laughs, street foods, and candid life plans.

The vlog, set against the vibrant backdrop of Quiapo’s streets, featured a lively Q&A where Mika revealed a pre-PBB contingency plan: settling in the U.S. if her reality TV stint didn’t pan out.
“Before, coming inside the PBB house, ang 5 years ko is, mag-sesettle na ako sa US—uuwi na ako,” Mika shared, explaining that without a Plan B, she was ready to return to a “totoong buhay” abroad if PBB failed.
Her candidness struck a chord, reflecting her pragmatic approach to an uncertain showbiz path. Ivana, playfully teasing as the “third wheel,” praised Mika’s soulful voice, noting, “Sana all kasi may boses katulad ni Mika,” as Brent chimed in, predicting a singing career for his duo partner.

Interestingly, Brent’s own revelations, shared on a separate occasion, echo Mika’s crossroads mindset. He once admitted he’d quit showbiz if PBB didn’t work out, aiming to redefine his public image as a quiet but genuine personality often mistaken as aloof.
In the vlog, he reiterated this, saying, “Pumasok naman ako talaga te, para maipakilala ‘yung sarili ko. Kasi, di ba nga, dahil tahimik ako, maraming nag-iisip na masungit ako.”
The Quiapo vlog showcased their resilience, with Mika now eyeing music and Brent leaning toward romcom roles, inspired by K-drama adaptations. Their banter over shared food—like a cheesy hotdog that had Ivana joking about being left out—underscored their natural chemistry. Mika’s U.S. plan, once a fallback, now feels secondary as she embraces her music dreams, while Brent’s shift to acting signals a renewed commitment to showbiz, proving PBB was their turning point.
Their authenticity, as Ivana noted, “Hindi mo mape-peke ‘yun,” shines through, making their post-PBB journey one to watch.
