Kapuso actress and former ‘PBB Celebrity Collab Edition’ housemate Shuvee Etrata is set to share her emotional and inspiring life story on ‘Magpakailanman’, airing this Saturday, August 10, on GMA Network.

Titled ‘Pinoy Big Breadwinner: The Shuvee Etrata Story’, the episode will feature Shuvee herself portraying her younger self as she revisits the struggles and sacrifices she made for her family long before her rise to fame.
In an interview with GMA Network , Shuvee joked about the emotional toll of reliving her past: “Grabe na po talaga ang Magpakailanman. Mga isang box na ng tissue ‘yung naubos ko. Hindi naman ako na-inform na ireretoke niyo pala ‘yung mukha ko dito. Ginawa niyo akong bubuyog. Grabe naman kayo,” she quipped.
“Kakatapos lang namin sa mabibigat na scenes. Sobrang naapektuhan ako kaya ganito po ‘yung mukha ko. Sana mag-enjoy kayo sa mga scenes na ‘yan.”
Joining her in the dramatization are Gabby Eigenmann, Sharmaine Arnaiz, Christian Antolin, Juharra Asayo, and Miguel Diokno, under the direction of Neal del Rosario.
One of the most poignant parts of her story includes joining barangay-level beauty pageants as a teenager—not to chase crowns, but to win even the P500 consolation prize, just to bring home money to buy rice.
“Sinasali ko sarili ko kahit P500 lang ang consolation prize. Okay na ‘yun, may pambili na ng bigas,” she shared.
Growing up in a family of nine siblings, Shuvee revealed that life was difficult. Despite having the support of a Swiss couple who sponsored her college education and treated her like their own daughter, she was forced to stop schooling.
“Nagkaroon ako ng malaking balanse sa tuition kasi nagagamit na panggastos sa bahay ‘yung mga ipinapadala sa akin para sana sa pag-aaral,” she admitted.

In a separate feature on GTV’s ‘Balitanghali’, it was noted that blessings continue to come Shuvee’s way even though she didn’t win PBB’s top prize.
“Masaya lang po talaga ako na malapit ko nang matulungan talaga ‘yung pamilya ko,” she said.
Shuvee’s life is a testament to perseverance, selflessness, and rising above life’s hardships. Her ‘Magpakailanman’ episode airs this Saturday at 8:15 p.m. on GMA Network.
