Sparkle artists Vince Maristela and Cheska Fausto have finally spoken up about the real score between them, setting the record straight amid speculation that they had broken up.
Appearing on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’, the two clarified that they were never officially in a relationship. While Vince admitted to courting Cheska, she revealed that she never said yes — nor did she turn him down — because she felt it wasn’t the right time.
“I didn’t say yes or hindi ko po siya binasted, it’s just that, Tito Boy, I felt like it wasn’t the right time,” Cheska said.
The ‘Bubble Gang’ mainstay added that she didn’t want to risk the strong bond they had built over time.
“I didn’t want to take away anything or add anything to what we’ve had so we’re good as friends,” she explained.
Vince echoed her sentiments, admitting that his feelings for Cheska deepened, but in a way that didn’t need to change the nature of their relationship.
“Siguro po nag-iba po talaga ‘yung tingin ko kay Cheska,” he said. “Mas lumalim siguro ‘yung pagkakaibigan po. ‘Yun talaga ‘yung nakikita kong parang ayokong sirain. Siguro mahal ko siya pero in a different way.”
The two currently co-host Sparkle’s ATM Podcast: ‘TRGGRD’ alongside Sean Lucas, Thea Astley, and Jeff Moses.
Some people close to the pair had speculated that they “broke up” when Vince entered the ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ house, but both clarified that their bond never crossed into romantic territory.
Vince was previously in a relationship with Miss Philippines Earth 2020 Roxie Smith. However, he shared that they eventually parted ways due to irreconcilable differences — though they remain friends.
