A video of comedienne Aiai delas Alas venting her frustration on stage at the Calgary Fiesta Filipino 2025 has gone viral, after she called out an artist who allegedly failed to appear at the event.

Although she did not name anyone in the clip, captions and netizen comments pointed to Filipino-American rapper EZ Mil, who was expected to perform alongside Aiai, Ruru Madrid, and Kyline Alcantara.
“Hindi pwede ‘yung ganun!” Ai-Ai exclaimed in the viral clip. “Pag nag-OO kayo, hindi pwedeng nagno-no show kayo! Hindi pwede yung ganun. Tapos no show ka na, ikaw pa ‘yung naninira sa Facebook. What the F!”
The outburst drew mixed reactions online, with some netizens agreeing that Aiai was simply being “transparent,” while others suggested she should have settled the matter privately.

One comment read: “Talagang ganyan si Ai. Very transparent. Kahit noong hawak pa niya ang Ex Battalion, talagang sinesermunan niya kapag may napansin siyang mali.” Another added, “Could have made it private bago kumuda.”
On August 29, a day before the fiesta, EZ Mil’s management FFP Records & Management had already announced that he would not be performing due to issues with the event producer.
“We regret to inform everyone that EZ MIL will not be performing at Calgary Fiesta Filipino 2025 as previously scheduled. Unfortunately, due to the event producer’s inability to meet the agreed terms, our artist’s participation will not be possible,” the statement read.
Following Aiai’s viral comments, the team released a longer statement to clarify the situation.
“To everyone asking why we missed the Calgary Fiesta Filipino 2025—here’s the truth: we received no payment, no logistic coordination (hotel/pick-up details/event contact etc.), and even got sent fraudulent receipt,” the statement said.
“After flying nonstop the past 2 weeks, we cut our trip short just to try and make it to the said festival. Instead of receiving proper arrangements, we were given the runaround in hopes we would travel without assurance. This is unacceptable,” it continued.
The team emphasized that mutual professionalism was required, saying: “We will not tolerate fake news or attempts to damage our reputation. Our team did everything possible to make this appearance happen, but professionalism and respect must be mutual.”
They also clarified their dealings: “For complete transparency, our team communicated only with one of the event producers, SJ Productions. If there’s any lapse or disconnect, it lies between SJ Productions and Fiesta Filipino. Our team doesn’t appreciate ‘side comments’ and false ‘excuses.’”
Despite the canceled performance, EZ Mil recently returned to the Philippines to perform as a special guest at the Black Eyed Peas concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on August 27.
As of press time, Aiai delas Alas has not yet released an official statement responding to EZ Mil’s explanation, and the organizers of Calgary Fiesta Filipino have also yet to issue their side.
