Actor Albie Casiño did not mince words when he lashed out at Ellis Co, son of embattled Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co, who is facing allegations of massive corruption in the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) flood control projects.

On Wednesday, September 24, Ellis posted a lengthy statement on Instagram condemning his father’s alleged actions and calling for him to come home. He insisted he had long distanced himself from his family’s affairs.
But Casiño wasn’t buying it. In the comments section of Ellis’ post, the ‘Pusong Ligaw’ actor bluntly wrote: “Your music sucks your fashion sense sucks you and your family all suck.”
The actor’s fiery remark quickly drew reactions from netizens, many of whom praised his candor. “Kaya idol kita eh!” one fan commented. Another added, “Go Albie! Louder! Pauwiin ang ama at ikulong!” Others cheered him on as “guerrero” and “the man” for saying what many netizens felt.
Ellis, who in 2022 released rap tracks such as ‘Big Money’, ‘Black Lexus’, and ‘Shangri-La’, is also the founder of the fashion brand Dot Archive. His creative pursuits, however, have not shielded him from criticism, as many remain skeptical of his attempts to publicly distance himself from his father.
Investigations revealed that Ellis remains a top shareholder in some of the family’s companies, casting doubt on his claim of separation. For critics like Casiño, his statement read less like accountability and more like self-preservation amid public outrage.
The scandal surrounding Rep. Zaldy Co continues to dominate headlines, with billions in alleged kickbacks from DPWH projects under scrutiny.
