Kapamilya actor Donny Pangilinan warmed hearts on the September 25 episode of It’s Showtime, airing on GMA Network, by extending generous support to players of the show’s “Laro-Laro Pick” segment.

Vice Ganda, currently filming her 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Call Me Mother, made a special appearance in the studio to share the unexpected good news with the Madlang People. Referring to the September 24 episode where fruit vendor Bonjing won the ₱150,000 jackpot, Vice revealed that Donny was deeply moved by the segment.
“Sabi niya, nadurog ako, hindi ko kaya. Hindi kaya ng kalooban ko, gusto kong magregalo,” Vice quoted Donny, before announcing that the actor had sent ₱300,000 to be divided among the previous day’s players—₱15,000 each.
Bonjing, already a jackpot winner, returned to the studio to receive his additional ₱15,000. Another player, Bel—humorously clarified not to be mistaken for Donny’s onscreen partner Belle Mariano—was asked for her message to the actor. Her playful response: “I love you. May puhunan na ako,” drew laughter and cheers from the audience.

Donny’s gesture was lauded by hosts and viewers alike, highlighting his quiet generosity and emotional sensitivity. Despite being busy taping for his upcoming teleserye Roja, Donny made sure to reach out and uplift everyday Filipinos featured on the show.
The moment added another layer of warmth to It’s Showtime’s ongoing run on GMA, proving that kindness—especially when unexpected—can ripple far beyond the screen.
