Showbiz host and talent manager Ogie Diaz has stirred buzz online after revealing in his YouTube vlog Showbiz Update that Julia Barretto allegedly wants to end her relationship with actor Gerald Anderson.
Citing a source, Ogie explained that while Gerald is reportedly still trying to hold on to the relationship, Julia has supposedly decided she no longer wants to continue.
“Hindi sa wala na sila, ang sinabi sa akin ay ayaw na ni Julia. Kung baga ayaw na ni Julia sa relasyon pero kay Gerald meron pa,” Ogie said.
He added that his source claimed the couple has not been seeing each other as much. “Kaya kung mapapansin ko raw sabi ng aking source, ‘tingnan mo, hindi na sila nagkikita.’ But Gerald is trying to pursue Julia. Pumupunta raw si Gerald doon sa bahay ni Julia, pero parang ayaw nang makita ni Julia si Gerald, muna.”
Asked by co-host Ate Mrena if there was a third party involved, Ogie clarified that his source did not confirm this. However, he mentioned that Gerald has long been linked to volleyball player Vanie Gandler, though no proof has surfaced.
“’Di ba lagi kong sinasabi rito na si Gerald ang dapat magsabi niyan kung hanggang ngayon ay totoo ‘yung Vanie Gandler o hindi talaga. Kaya ‘yan ang dapat nating malaman mula kay Gerald,” he said.
The vlog also noted public observations about Julia’s noticeable weight loss in recent appearances, sparking speculation about her health. Ogie, however, stressed that this remains unclear and should not be a cause for unfounded assumptions.
As of now, both Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto have yet to issue any statement regarding the rumored rift in their relationship.
