Celebrity family Team Kramer has spoken out against large-scale corruption in government, particularly the alleged anomalies in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) flood control projects.

On their official Facebook page, Doug and Chesca Kramer, along with their daughters, called the controversy a “clear sign of systemic corruption” after photos of cash bundles—allegedly kickbacks linked to flood control projects—were aired on national television.
“While our countrymen are suffering from the devastating effects of calamities and poor infrastructure, certain government officials are busy dividing BILLIONS of taxpayer money,” Team Kramer said.
They added: “The stash of cash shown on national TV, on top of a billiard table, has been linked to anomalous flood control projects, is a clear sign of systemic corruption. This isn’t just about a few corrupt individuals—it’s about a broken system!”
Emphasizing the need for transparency, they said bulk cash handling in a government office is unacceptable:
“A government agency, like DPWH, should never be handling bulk cash in this manner. Checks and proper documentation are essential for transparency and to create a paper trail, ensuring that public funds are used for their intended purpose and can be tracked if needed.”
Team Kramer condemned how corruption deprives Filipinos of infrastructure needed for safety and resilience.
“Our taxes are meant to build a safer, more resilient nation, not to line the pockets of corrupt officials. This kind of theft robs our communities of the critical infrastructure they need to survive. We deserve better. We deserve accountability, integrity, and leaders who prioritize the welfare of the people over personal gain. PHILIPPINES DESERVES BETTER!” their statement read.
Just weeks earlier, Doug Kramer had also expressed his dismay on Instagram, calling the scale of alleged corruption “truly disgusting.” He noted that the Philippines is not a poor country, but one whose growth and potential are “crippled by corruption.”
