Kapuso star Alden Richards couldn’t hide his frustration over the alleged ₱35-billion fund insertions linked to former Ako Bicol party-list Representative Zaldy Co, who has also been implicated in the flood control project controversy involving the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In an Instagram Story, the actor shared an art card highlighting the enormity of the alleged budget insertion, with the caption “May araw ka rin!” — a short but striking remark that immediately resonated with netizens.
The art card read: “Para maubos mo ang ₱1 billion in a year, you need to spend ₱2.8 million pesos per day. Para maubos mo ang ₱35 billion in a year, you need to spend ₱98 million pesos per day.”
The post, originally from Damdamin Pinas, also featured an image of Co, who is reportedly still abroad despite being urged to return to the Philippines to face the accusations against him.
Alden’s post quickly drew praise from fans and followers who lauded his courage to speak up about corruption.
One netizen commented, “Gusto ko ‘yung pagkavocal ni Alden.” Another said, “Kudos to Alden for speaking out.”
Others expressed support for the actor, noting that his anger toward corruption is understandable given his background as one of the country’s top taxpayers. “Gigil na gigil si Alden sa mga corrupt officials ngayon kasi ito na yata yung pinaka malaking nabulgar na corruption na maraming witnesses nagpapatunay at naglaglagan na lahat sila. Tapos one of the highest taxpayers pa si Alden kaya legit yung galit niya. Kaya go Alden, kasama ka namin sa laban na ‘yan! ”
This isn’t the first time Alden has aired his sentiments about corruption. Just recently, he shared another post from Linya-Linya defining the term “Kuracaught” — “Corrupt na opisyal o indibidwal na huling-huli na sa ginagawang walang-habas na katiwalian at pangungurakot.”
Meanwhile, Zaldy Co has resigned from Congress amid the controversy and continues to face mounting public scrutiny over the alleged multibillion-peso fund insertions.
