LIMA Tower One and Talent Edge Hub: Powering Batangas’ Rise as a Center for Business and Talent

A new chapter in Batangas’ growth story is unfolding—not through expansion alone, but through a purposeful effort to connect business with talent.

LIMA Tower One is drawing IT and creative industries to Batangas, creating high-value jobs for the province’s young and skilled workforce and strengthening its position as a rising innovation hub in the South.

At the heart of this transformation stands LIMA Tower One, the first premium, PEZA-registered office building in the province. More than a landmark structure, it has become a symbol of progress—where global companies such as Conduent and Revolve have found more than a place to operate; they have found a home for their people.

What makes this shift significant is not only the infrastructure, but the confidence it represents. For years, Batangas has been known for its strong manufacturing base. Today, it is already proving itself as a thriving hub for high-value services, knowledge-based industries, and IT-BPM operations—sectors once concentrated in Metro Manila.

“Batangas is home to a deep and diverse talent base that’s ready for the opportunities coming its way,” said Monica Trajano, Vice President for Commercial Strategy at Aboitiz Economic Estates. “Through LIMA Tower One, we’re seeing how a well-prepared workforce, coupled with the right environment, can redefine where and how companies choose to grow.”

With 1.43 million workers and a young population that brings both technical skill and digital fluency, Batangas offers businesses a workforce that is not only abundant but future-ready. This strength is amplified by the province’s proximity to Metro Manila, robust educational network, and the presence of LIMA Estate—a 1,000-hectare mixed-use economic center that integrates industrial, commercial, and lifestyle components.

To further strengthen this connection between business and talent, Aboitiz Economic Estates established the Talent Edge Hub—a facility dedicated to training, upskilling, and linking Batangueños to employment opportunities. Designed as a bridge between academe and industry, the Hub aligns educational pathways with real business needs, ensuring that graduates are not just employable, but competitive in a global context.

The Talent Edge Hub at LIMA Estate drives workforce development by training and upskilling Batangas’ young professionals, ensuring a steady pipeline of talent for the high-value IT and creative industries growing at LIMA Tower One.

This commitment to talent development extends beyond the estate. The upcoming Batangas State University–LIMA Campus, set to open soon within LIMA Estate, will serve as an anchor for industry-based education in the region. It represents a shared vision between Aboitiz and Batangas State University to prepare students for the jobs of the future—creating a direct link between learning and meaningful employment opportunities in Batangas.

“Talent is at the core of every successful enterprise,” said Clifford Academia, Vice President for Operations at Aboitiz Economic Estates. “The Talent Edge Hub and our partnership with Batangas State University ensure that our locators at LIMA have access to skilled professionals who are capable, committed, and deeply rooted in the community.”

Within this broader ecosystem, LIMA Tower One serves as the centerpiece of Biz Hub at LIMA Estate—a growing central business district designed for modern work and lifestyle integration. With its BERDE and WELL Core Gold certifications, it reflects Aboitiz Economic Estates’ dedication to sustainability and well-being, providing flexible work environments supported by retail, dining, and leisure destinations that enrich the everyday experience of workers and visitors alike.

This convergence of talent, education, and enterprise is what sets Batangas apart. It is not a shift away from Metro Manila—it is the rise of a new urban center that grows with intention, built on collaboration, and powered by people.

Through LIMA Tower One, the Talent Edge Hub, and the Batangas State University–Aboitiz LIMA Campus, Aboitiz Economic Estates is shaping a future where businesses thrive because people do. By nurturing local talent and creating environments where they can grow, Batangas is establishing itself as the country’s next center for innovation, opportunity, and inclusive progress—a place where the next generation of Filipinos can build their future, right where they belong.
