Kapuso actor and box-office star Alden Richards remains one of the country’s most sought-after bachelors, but for now, he says settling down is not on top of his priorities as he continues to juggle his expanding career and business ventures.

In a recent interview, Alden admitted he doesn’t know how to react when people call him “one of the most eligible bachelors,” saying his life is currently filled with commitments and responsibilities.
“Hindi ko po alam kung paano magre-react,” he said with a laugh. “Pero sa ngayon po siguro, ang dami ko pong ginagawa with my life right now. Siyempre, kailangang sino-solidify ko po siya along the way.”
Alden added that he prefers to focus on finishing what he has started before entertaining the idea of a relationship.
“Mahirap din po kasi na parang ang dami kong ginagawa, tapos po, wala po akong matapos. Maganda rin po na kapag may dumating, perfect time na po.”
For years, fans have asked Alden what’s “missing” in his life given his success. He often acknowledges that a “lifetime partner” is something people expect him to have by now, but he clarified he doesn’t see it as a lack.
When asked whether he prefers someone from showbiz or non-showbiz, Alden only smiled and said, “Kahit sino, nothing in particular. Yun nga po, mahirap magsalita ng patapos.”

With multiple projects lined up, Alden admitted his packed schedule makes it even harder to find time for love life.
On December 13, he will stage ‘ARXV: Moving ForwARd,’ his 15th anniversary fan meet at the Sta. Rosa Laguna Multi-Purpose Complex. He has been hands-on with preparations for the event.
“Since it’s a 15th year anniversary, I want all the details and decisions made for this event galing sa kaibuturan ng puso naming lahat. Of course, this is an event of gratitude, of appreciation, of highlighting the people that were part of my 15 years,” he said.
Looking back on his journey, Alden said the biggest highlight of his career is “the lives that I was able to touch.”
He added, “Kaya siguro ako nalagay dito sa sitwasyon… I think that’s my mission, to really give out. Parang vessel lang ako of all the blessings… alam ni Lord na at the end of the day I’m gonna be able to share it to people in need.”
During the media conference, Alden grew emotional as he remembered his late mother, Rosario, who was his biggest supporter.
“Siya talaga ’yung gustong makakita ng kung ano man po ’yung narating ko… ’Pag may achievement, kapag may recognition, sana nakikita niya physically,” he said.
He also revealed that someone from his family will join him for a special number at his fan meet, one of the moments he is looking forward to.
After his anniversary fan meet, Alden is gearing up for an even busier 2026. He is slated to headline two teleseryes, host a new program, and continue working on an international project currently in production.
While his career is thriving, Alden joked that the only thing he doesn’t have is a love life — and for now, he’s perfectly fine with that. (with reports from Loyd Pino)
