Actor and former politician Anjo Yllana has issued a public apology following a string of viral controversies involving his statements on social media, clarifying that he was not intentionally seeking attention.

In an interview released on Friday, November 21, through Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel, Yllana addressed the recent online uproar sparked by his comments.
Yllana admitted he struggled to recognize the impact of his posts until his family intervened.
Because of my friends, because of my family, because of my children na sinasabing ‘what are you doing?’” he said.
He explained that the intensity of the online backlash overwhelmed him, especially after revisiting unresolved frustrations. He cited his emotional reaction when recounting past issues involving ‘Eat Bulaga’ and his brief relationship with Kris Aquino, which he discussed earlier in an interview with Snooky Serna.
Yllana’s name also resurfaced in recent months after he made strong accusations involving former co-hosts of ‘Eat Bulaga’, including Senate President Tito Sotto III. In a previous outburst, he claimed he could reveal the identity of a supposed “kabit” linked to the senator.
Later, Yllana retracted his statements, telling PEP in a separate interview that he and Sotto had already reached a “ceasefire” and that his remarks were merely a “bluff” triggered by anger at online trolls whom he believed came from the senator’s camp.
