The Philippines has officially joined the world’s fine dining elite as nine local restaurants earned coveted Michelin stars in the country’s first-ever Michelin Guide selection, unveiled during a grand ceremony at the Marriott Manila Hotel on October 30, 2025.

A total of 108 restaurants made it to the inaugural Michelin Guide Philippines 2026, including Bib Gourmand and Michelin Selected entries — but the biggest honors went to Helm and eight other standout dining destinations that placed the country firmly on the global culinary map.

Two Michelin Stars – Helm (Ayala Triangle, Makati) — led by Filipino-British chef Josh Boutwood, Helm achieved the highest recognition of the night for its innovative fine dining experience and precise artistry.

One Michelin Star – Asador Alfonso (Cavite), Celera (Makati), Gallery by Chele (Taguig), Hapag (Makati), Inatô (Makati), Kasa Palma (Makati), Linamnam (Parañaque) and Toyo Eatery (Makati).

Gallery by Chele also received a Green Star for its commitment to sustainability and environmentally conscious practices.

Bib Gourmand Winners – The Bib Gourmand award, given to eateries offering “good food at good value,” went to 25 restaurants across the country, including: Palm Grill (Diliman), Lampara, Manam at the Triangle, Bolero, Taqueria Franco, The Pig & Palm (Cebu), Abaseria Deli & Cafe (Cebu), Sarsa, CUR8, and Pilya’s Kitchen, among others.

An additional 74 restaurants were listed under the Michelin Selected category — featuring notable names such as Antonio’s (Tagaytay), Old Manila, Locavore (Taguig), Metiz, Uma Nota, Mireio, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, and House of Lechon (Cebu) — all recognized for their quality cooking and unique culinary identity.

Michelin Young Chef Award: Don Patrick Baldosano of Linamnam

Michelin Service Award: Erin Recto of Hapag

Michelin Exceptional Cocktails Award: Benjamin Leal of Uma Nota

Speaking at the event, Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guide, praised the Philippines’ vibrant and evolving food culture: “This selection pays tribute to a new generation of Filipino chefs and international chefs who have embraced the Philippines, drawing inspiration from local heritage, bold flavors, and heartfelt hospitality. The warmth and genuine care of the Filipino people are woven into every dining experience — from casual eateries to fine dining establishments.” (with reports from Lau Balocos)
