Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil revealed that he will not be able to join the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Parade of Stars for his film Manila’s Finest as he is set to begin work on his upcoming 2026 TV5 series, ‘A Secret in Prague’.

During his guesting on One News PH’s ‘Men’s Room’, hosted by Stanley Chi and Benjie Paras (in place of Janno Gibbs), Enrique explained that production preparations for his new project conflict with the parade schedule.
“Meron po pero hindi ako makakasama kasi magso-shoot na po kami ng pilot, so maglo-location hunting pa kami. Pag producer ang daming kailangan gawin pero may team naman po,” he said.
Benjie joked that he might also miss watching the film because, “Kasama ako sa shooting. Hindi ko mapapanood ang movie mo, pasensya na.”
The ‘Manila’s Finest’ star was also asked about long-standing curiosity over past relationships, including one ex-girlfriend the public never knew about. Enrique said he would whisper the answer to the hosts instead, joking that information usually spreads anyway—especially, he teased, “kung si Ginoong Manny V. Pangilinan ang magtanong.”
He was also questioned about photos linking him to a female celebrity who went viral online. Enrique confirmed they were indeed at the same resort in Panglao, saying: “Yeah, nagkasama lang kami nu’ng in-invite ako ng friend ko tapos may nag-invite rin sa kanya… happy to be there sa resort ng friend namin.”
When pressed further, he stayed good-natured and playful: “We were there… in-invite po kami kasi opening ng resort. Nag island hopping po kami tapos swimming-swimming.”
Stanley tried to be cheeky, asking if he tested the rooms—“malambot ba ang kama?” Enrique laughed and answered that they even checked the bed and the noise level, saying the view was good too.
He clarified that the group had to dine outside because the resort was not yet fully operational. “Sa labas po kasi wala pang…” he said while laughing, eventually adding that they ate Thai food, which he repeated several times:
“Thai food po… favorite ko ‘yung Thai food.”
Enrique also addressed the rumor linking him to young content creator Andrea Brown, who went viral after a photo sparked speculation online because netizens initially thought she was a minor.
When asked if anything was going on between them, Enrique immediately denied it: “Ahh hindi po totoo ‘yun, friends–friends lang.”
Stanley jokingly asked, “Tiktok-tiktok lang? Sumasayaw kayo O-ha-O-ha?” prompting laughter from Enrique and Benjie. Enrique repeated that they were simply friends.

Despite skipping the MMFF Parade of Stars, Enrique is actively promoting ‘Manila’s Finest’, one of the official entries to the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival. The film stars Enrique alongside Piolo Pascual and is directed by Raymond Red under MQuest Ventures, Cignal, and Spring Films.
In earlier interviews, Enrique described working with Piolo as a major honor and even an early Christmas gift.
‘Manila’s Finest’ hits cinemas nationwide on December 25, 2025.
