Kapamilya action-drama teleserye “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ)” reclaimed its primetime crown, once again outshining Kapuso rival “Sang’gre.”

Based on the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, the Coco Martin-led series surged back to the top spot, proving its staying power in the highly competitive primetime race.
On Friday, December 12, FPJBQ posted a 10.2% rating, beating “Sang’gre” which settled at 9.4%. This marked the second time in December that the Kapamilya teleserye overtook its rival, following its earlier win on Wednesday, December 3, when it scored 11.8%, edging out “Sang’gre’s” 11.7%. Prior to its latest victory, the two shows were neck-and-neck on Thursday, December 11, both registering 10.8% in a rare tie for primetime leadership.
Despite these wins, “Sang’gre” has largely dominated the ratings race, securing four out of five days last week.
On Monday, December 1, the Kapuso telefantasya led with 11.1% against FPJBQ’s 10.4%. The following day, December 2, it climbed even higher to 12.3%, a full point ahead of FPJBQ’s 11.2%. On Thursday, December 4, Sang’gre dipped slightly to 10.9%, but still managed to stay ahead of FPJBQ’s 10.4%. By Friday, December 5, it bounced back to 11.5%, once again leaving FPJBQ in second place with 10.9%.
With “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” showing signs of resurgence, the question now is whether it can fully reclaim its former throne or if “Sang’gre” will continue to dominate the charts—especially as Kapamilya programs prepare for a major shift with their exit from TV5.
