Singer-comedienne Kakai Bautista strongly criticized government contractor Sarah Discaya following the latter’s emotional interview, where Discaya expressed fear of being separated from her family if she were jailed in connection with alleged anomalous flood control projects.

Discaya recently drew public attention after breaking down in tears during an interview, saying she did not want to go to jail because her children have Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
“Ayoko, ayoko sana (makulong). Kasi as everyone knows, my kids they all have ADHD, husband ko nasa Senate tapos ako makukulong. Ang hirap. Ang hirap, hindi ko alam kung paano ‘yong mga anak ko. Hindi ko talaga alam,” Discaya said emotionally.
Bautista reacted strongly on social media after watching the interview, reposting a clip and issuing a scathing message directed at Discaya and her family.
In her post, Bautista said the anger of Filipinos toward Discaya was justified given her alleged involvement in controversial flood control projects.
“IN*KA! Sampu ng kanu-nunuan mo. Kung MAHAL nyo ang mga ANAK nyo, HINDI KAYO MAGIGING SAKIM. You will be served with what you DESERVE. Deserve ng PAMILYA MO ang BAWAT Galit na meron ang BAWAT Pilipino,” Bautista wrote.
She went on to add that, while the damage could no longer be undone, accountability would still come.
“Wala kaming LABAN kase di naman maibabalik ang mga ninakaw nyo, PERO PATAS si KARMA. We are excited to WATCH you SUFFER the consequences,” she added.
Bautista is not the only public figure who has spoken out against Discaya’s statements. Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon also criticized Discaya’s remarks, questioning her focus on personal hardship while communities allegedly suffered due to unfinished or non-existent projects.
“Ang hindi ko lang maintindihan, naaawa siya sa pamilya niya, naaawa siya kung kanino, dapat maaawa din siya doon sa mga taong biniktima nila. ‘Yong mga taong binabaha sa Bulacan, ‘yong mga taong binabaha doon sa Davao Occidental na kailangang-kailangan no’ng eskwelahan doon saka ng mga bahay do’n, ng flood control pero wala silang ginawa. Ghost projects,” Dizon said.
Discaya has yet to respond publicly to Bautista’s remarks, as criticism continues to mount over the alleged misuse of funds intended for flood control projects in several parts of the country.
