Young star Andre Yllana expressed support for the rumored relationship between his mother, Aiko Melendez, and actor Onemig Bondoc, saying he is happy for them and gives his full blessing.

Speaking at the media conference for the upcoming Viva One series ‘Hell University’ on Wednesday night, January 21, 2026, Andre was asked about the widely discussed courtship stage between Aiko and Onemig. The young actor responded warmly and without hesitation.
“Enjoy! Opo, mukha naman po silang masaya, eh. Kung masaya naman po sila, enjoy po. I will give all my blessings,” Andre said.
Andre also confirmed that he has already met Onemig and that they are on good terms.
“Puwede na po,” he replied when asked if he is already close to the actor.
When asked whether he would be open to working on a project with his mother’s rumored boyfriend, Andre answered positively.
“Sure po. Why not po?” he said with a smile.
Onemig previously courted Aiko nearly three decades ago, though the relationship did not progress at the time. His name has recently resurfaced in entertainment news due to reports linking him to the actress.
Meanwhile, Andre continues to build momentum in his acting career as a contract artist of Viva Artist Agency, with several projects lined up under Viva.
“Blessed po talaga saka very thankful po na binigyan po ng opportunity,” Andre said. “Thank you po, Boss Vic [del Rosario]. Thank you po sa tiwala.”
He also credited his parents for their continued guidance and support.
“Si Mommy po, very supportive po. Palaging nagtatanong, ‘Kumusta yung set? Kumusta yung mga eksena?’” Andre shared. “Si Daddy naman po, lagi akong pinu-push na be on time sa set. Pinu-push niya ako na maging ready po sa trabaho.”
Andre is part of the cast of ‘Hell University’, a mystery-thriller series directed by Bobby Bonifacio Jr. and based on the Wattpad story of the same name by KnightInBlack, which has amassed over 180 million reads. The series stars Heart Ryan and Zeke Polino, with supporting performances from Lance Carr, Aubrey Caraan, Gabbi Ejercito, Derrick Ong, and Andre Yllana.
‘Hell University’ premieres on February 6 exclusively on Viva One.
