Global K-pop phenomenon BTS is officially returning to the Philippines in 2027, marking its first full-group concert in the country in nearly a decade.

The announcement was made Tuesday by BigHit Music through its official social media platforms, which revealed the initial dates and cities for the group’s upcoming world tour. Manila is confirmed as one of the stops, with concerts scheduled for March 13 and 14, 2027.
Concert promoter Live Nation Philippines said details regarding the venue and ticket sales will be announced at a later date via its official channels.
The news has sparked widespread excitement among Filipino ARMYs, as the tour will be BTS’ first global run following the completion of all members’ mandatory military service. It also signals a new chapter for the seven-member group after several years of limited collective activity.
BTS will kick off the tour with three shows in Goyang, South Korea, on April 9, 11, and 12, before traveling to major cities across Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Australia. Additional tour stops, including further 2027 dates in Japan and the Middle East, are expected to be announced.
For Filipino fans, the Manila concerts carry particular significance. The last time BTS performed as a complete group in the Philippines was in May 2017 during The Wings Tour, held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Since then, the group’s global stature has grown exponentially, driven by chart-topping releases and sold-out stadium tours worldwide.
While the group has not returned as a unit since 2017, individual members have maintained a strong presence in the country. In April 2025, J-Hope staged a two-night solo concert in Manila as part of his Hope On The Stage tour, drawing massive crowds and reaffirming the Philippines’ importance within BTS’ global fan base.
The upcoming world tour will also support BTS’ fifth studio album, set for release on March 20, marking the group’s first full album in nearly four years.
Formed in 2013, BTS—composed of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook—has become one of the most influential music acts of the 21st century. Beyond dominating global charts with hits such as ‘Dynamite,’ ‘Butter,’ and ‘Permission to Dance,’ the group is also known for its advocacy on youth empowerment, mental health, and anti-discrimination.
