Known collectively as DustBia, Dustin and Bianca have become one of the most talked-about love teams in Philippine showbiz today.
In an interview with Aster Amoyo on December 19, Dustin opened up about his connection with Bianca, which began inside the ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ house. The two were the last pair of housemates evicted before Big Night, making their journey closely followed by viewers even after their exit.
Asked who first caught his attention upon entering the house, Dustin did not hesitate.
He shared that his curiosity deepened over time, as their daily interactions became something he looked forward to.
When asked whether he felt the same interest coming from Bianca, he answered cautiously, “I hope so.”
Dustin also clarified that prior to ‘PBB’, he and Bianca did not know each other personally and came from very different worlds.
He admitted that both Bianca’s looks and personality initially drew him in. “I feel like, Tita, first na-attract ako sa kaniya sa itsura niya tsaka sa personality niya talaga.
Addressing a viral ‘PBB’ clip where he mentioned not being fond of girls like Bianca, Dustin clarified his statement.
Si Bianca kasi kalog eh,” he explained.
Before meeting Bianca, Dustin said he had been single for about four years, focusing on self-improvement. Entering PBB became a turning point. Kasi nung before PBB, hindi talaga ako interesado sa kahit kanino,” he said.
Reflecting on their present situation, Dustin said their relationship continues to evolve. “Hindi ko kasi kayang sabihin kasi lagi kaming nagpro-progress as we build our connection. Siyempre, kung ano man ‘yung na-build namin sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya, for sure mas pinapatibay pa namin,” he shared.
He also stressed that being under different networks has not affected their bond. “Yung friendship naman namin labas naman na po sa trabaho,” he said, adding, “Happy kami sa kung anong meron kami… Walang nagbago, mas lalong gumanda.”
Dustin credited much of their strength to the fans who continue to support them. “Sobrang laking bagay non. Grabe ‘yung suporta nila sa amin… Naa-appreciate namin ‘yung suporta nila sa amin, kung gaano nila kami kamahal,” he said.
Dustin and Bianca are among the lead stars of the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival entry ‘Love You So Bad’, alongside fellow ‘PBB’ alum Will Ashley. When teased about whether the two have already shared a kiss, Dustin simply replied, “Abangan niyo yan sa movie.”
The actor is enjoying a milestone year, appearing in two MMFF entries—’Love You So Bad’ and ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins’—both of which opened in cinemas nationwide starting December 25.
