Kapamilya host Robi Domingo declined to comment on the alleged incident involving actor John Lloyd Cruz during the wedding reception of Zanjoe Marudo and Ria Atayde last December 23, 2025.

In the latest vlog of talent manager and content creator Ogie Diaz on YouTube, Diaz shared that he personally reached out to Domingo to ask if there was truth to reports that tensions flared between him and Cruz during the reception.
According to Diaz, Domingo gave only brief responses.
“Happy New Year” and “Ingat!” were reportedly the only words the TV host said when asked about the issue.
Diaz recounted, “Sabi niya (Robi) sa akin, ‘Tito Ogie, ano bang sabi ni John Lloyd sa isang commercial? ‘Ingat!’”
He added jokingly, “Ako pinag-ingat niya,” before stressing that Domingo clearly did not want to comment further. “Basta ‘yon, na ayaw na niyang mag-comment. Basta sabi niya, ‘ingat’ at ‘happy new year,’” Diaz said.
Earlier reports claimed that the alleged tension stemmed from a joke made by Domingo to the groom, saying, “How does it feel to be Mr. Atayde?”—a remark that supposedly did not sit well with Cruz. Diaz previously claimed that Cruz confronted Domingo and allegedly raised his voice, with Donny Pangilinan also reportedly being scolded when he tried to intervene.
Ria Atayde, however, downplayed the issue in a separate interview with MJ Felipe, saying, “If something happened between them, they kept it away from me. It wasn’t something that disrupted the event or anything, it went very smoothly. It was a beautiful night.”
Meanwhile, attention has also turned to positive news in Domingo’s personal life. His wife, Maiqui Pineda, recently shared a baby bump video on Instagram, delighting followers.
In the reel set to Coldplay’s ‘Fix You,’ Pineda reflected on her health journey after being in remission for a year from dermatomyositis, an autoimmune disease. The couple previously sought treatment in Singapore.
“We just want to say thank you so much for all the love, support and prayers!! It means so much to us,” Pineda wrote.
She added, “The last three years challenged my mind, heart, and body in ways I never imagined. But the journey only made me realize how strong and capable I truly am. This 2026, I’m ready for my biggest challenge yet. Let’s go!!”
The post was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from friends and fellow celebrities, including Maja Salvador, Melai Cantiveros, Mikha Lim, and Tippy Dos Santos.
