Former actor Alvin Aragon sparked fresh online debate after criticizing Bulacan Vice Governor Alex Castro for allowing his wife, Sunshine Garcia, to perform in the recent SexBomb Girls reunion concert.
Aragon’s remarks came after netizens compared him to Castro, who publicly showed support for Garcia during the successful reunion shows. Critics had earlier blamed Aragon for supposedly influencing his wife, former SexBomb member Izzy Trazona, to step away from the group and not fully participate in the concert.

In an interview over DWAR, Aragon rejected comparisons to Castro and other supportive husbands.
Aragon also emphasized that his stance is rooted in his desire to protect his wife.
“Niligawan ko nga asawa ko simula 2011 hanggang bago kami ikasal, naging fiancé kami. Sabi ko, ‘Hindi ko siya hahalikan, until the pastor (says), you may kiss your bride.’
“I want to protect my wife. Ako lang titingin, kasi ako ang husband,” he added.
Aragon clarified that Izzy’s departure from the SexBomb Girls happened long before their relationship.
Pinag-resign ng Lord,” he said.
Despite the controversy, the SexBomb Girls’ reunion concerts were widely celebrated, with several members sharing photos of their husbands and partners attending a dinner gathering after the shows.
Sunshine Garcia posted photos with Castro and other partners, captioning it: “Last night ganap. Dinner meeting with SB Girls. Syempre kasama ang mga hubbies.”
Meanwhile, other members shared clips of their partners dancing to the group’s hits, including ‘Macarena,’ drawing praise from fans for their visible support.
Some netizens interpreted the posts as a subtle response to Aragon’s comments, with one Facebook user writing, “Ganito dapat ang support system ng mga hubby…
Izzy Trazona did make a surprise appearance during ‘Get, Get, Aw: The SexBomb Concert rAWnd 4’ on February 7, joining the group on stage to sing the theme song of their former series ‘Daisy Siete’, though she did not participate in the dance numbers.
As reactions continue to pour in from both supporters and critics, Aragon maintained that he and his wife remain firm in their religious convictions and devotion, regardless of public opinion.
