Actor Onemig Bondoc did not hold back as he addressed offensive remarks from bashers targeting his relationship with actress-politician Aiko Melendez.

In a conversation on Aiko’s YouTube channel, Onemig expressed disappointment over vulgar comments directed at the couple.
“Sana tigil-tigilan niyo na ‘yung ganun. At saka ‘yung mga nagsasabi riyan na medyo bastos, pero sasabihin ko na, dahil masakit, eh. Siyempre mahal ko ‘yung tao, at ayoko namang makakita ng mga ganung comment,” he said.
Aiko, for her part, added, “You can’t please everyone.”
Onemig also took issue with explicit language used by some netizens.
“Na bembang ganiyan. Eh hindi naman kami nandito para bumembang. I mean, pag mahal mo ang tao, hindi mo sasabihing bembang. You make love to the person, at hindi bembang.”
He further appealed to commenters to be more mindful, especially since younger audiences may see such remarks.
“Sana tigilan niyo na ‘yung mga ganiyan. Hindi maganda, eh. At isa pa, maraming nakakabasa na mga bata. Isipin niyo rin bago kayo mag-comment ng kabastusan o walang katuturan, sana tingnan niyo rin ‘yung mga batang makakabasa nito.”
“Sana you should also set a good example sa mga bata,” he added.
Despite the negativity online, fans were treated to a romantic Valentine’s Day post from Aiko dedicated to Onemig.
“To my soulmate, @uno_111.”
“You are not just the love I asked for, you are the love I didn’t even know I needed.”
“With you, love feels calm, safe, and true. You understand me in silence, hold me in my weakest moments, and choose me every single day.”
“Thank you for loving me beyond my flaws, for standing by me when things aren’t easy, and for reminding me that real love doesn’t rush, it stays.”
“In a world full of noise, you are my peace. In every lifetime, I would still find my way to you. I choose you today, tomorrow, and always. Happy Valentine’s, my soulmate. First Valentines day!”
Speculation about their relationship first surfaced through sweet social media interactions and livestream appearances. Onemig later confirmed the romance with a selfie captioned, “Happy together… after 29 yrs.”
Aiko previously confirmed her separation from Jay Khonghun in October 2025, while Onemig separated from his former wife Valerie Bariou in 2014.
With the public declaration of love and their visible closeness, many fans are now asking the inevitable question: is wedding bells next?
