Just days before Valentine’s Day, ‘It’s Showtime’ host and comedian Lassy Marquez gave fans a glimpse into his love life after publicly introducing his suitor, “Ken,” during a guest appearance on the Chad Kinis Show.
Midway through the interview, Ken surprised Marquez by entering the set with a bouquet of flowers, drawing cheers from the studio audience and leaving the host visibly flustered and giddy.
When asked about his feelings, Marquez shared, “Nararamdaman ko naman [na mahal niya ako]. Alam mo ‘yong pumapasok na.”
Chad Kinis did not hesitate to put Ken on the spot, asking him directly about his intentions.
“Kaya mo bang mahalin si Lassy?” Chad asked.
“Opo, kaya nga po ako nandidito,” Ken responded.
Ken admitted that he is still waiting for Marquez’s answer.
“Actually, hindi ko pa nga po alam. Hindi pa po kasi siya nag-aano e. Ako kasi go na po ako, 100 percent na po ako,” he said.
Marquez, meanwhile, made it clear that he wants to take things slowly.
“Ako na lang inaantay,” he quipped, before explaining his hesitation: “Alam mo ‘yung paunti-unti na lang, ayoko kasi madaliin lahat ng bagay. Kasi, nanggaling na ako sa alam mo ‘yung relasyon na minadali. Ganun pa rin nangyari, so pare-pareho kasi.”
Despite the careful pace, Marquez expressed gratitude for Ken’s patience and support.
“Ken, salamat sa pagtitiyaga mo… Thank you, Ken napakabait mo, napakabuti mong tao at salamat din sa pagpapasaya sa akin. [Pati] sa mga tulong mo minsan, minsan ‘pag nahihirapan ako ikaw ‘yung gumagawa. Thank you, Ken,” he said.
Ken assured him of his sincerity: “Totoo ‘yung pagmamahal ko sa’yo, tsaka willing gawin lahat sa’yo. Kaya ako nandidito, kaya ako nag-effort kasi mahal kita.”
For now, Ken says he is willing to wait. “Kaya ko po maghintay, kahit gaano pa po katagal.”
While no official relationship has been confirmed, the “hard launch” moment has left fans rooting for a possible “oo” from Marquez in the near future.
