TV host Shaira Diaz took to social media to react after witnessing an unexpected and overly passionate kiss while hosting the morning show ‘Unang Hirit.’
Diaz shared a screenshot from the episode on her Facebook page, showing her visibly shocked expression as a couple kissed on live television.
Her caption read: “POV: you didn’t expect that on live HAHAHAHA my face says it all! #UnangHirit #MorningSunshine”
The incident happened during the show’s community segment in a barangay in Caloocan City, where Diaz and co-host JR Royol featured a married couple for ‘UH Cash-Kilig,’ a segment that gives cash assistance while encouraging lighthearted moments on air.
“Malapit na po ang Valentine’s, baka puwede n’yo naman po kaming pakiligin, Tatay!” Diaz playfully said to the couple.
Royol followed with, “Isang pampakilig naman diyan.”
Moments later, the couple complied—but to the surprise of everyone present, the kiss turned into a full-on makeout. Diaz was seen stepping in between the two to stop them, as the surrounding residents erupted in cheers and laughter.
“Nakalimutan kong morning show nga pala ’to!” Royol joked afterward.
“Hindi namin kinaya!” Diaz said, laughing.
