Kapamilya actress Janine Gutierrez did not hold back her reaction to the controversial remarks made by Quezon City 4th District Rep. Bong Suntay about fellow actress Anne Curtis.

Speaking to the media, Gutierrez expressed strong disgust over the incident, especially since it happened during a congressional hearing.
“Sobrang nakakagalit. Kadiri for that to be even said out loud anywhere more so to be said in a place of power and public office,” she said.
She emphasized that such behavior should not be tolerated, particularly from public officials.
“So, siyempre ang sama talaga pakinggan.”
“And hopefully, this serves as a lesson to all other men, politicians to be reminded that, that is not acceptable.”
Gutierrez also commended Curtis for taking a stand and using her platform to address the issue.
“I really admire what she said, na anuman yung nangyari sa kanya sabi niya it’s not just about her.”
“She really used her platform para magsalita in behalf of all the women who experienced these things. Siyempre, we’re all behind her.”
The controversy stemmed from Suntay’s remarks during a public hearing, which drew backlash from various personalities and netizens for being inappropriate and disrespectful toward women.
Gutierrez’s statement adds to the growing list of voices condemning the incident, reinforcing calls for accountability and respect—especially from those in positions of power.
