Homegrown ticketing company Ticket2Me celebrates its 8th anniversary this year—a milestone that highlights its resilience, innovation, and continued commitment to the Philippine events industry. Despite the pandemic’s disruptions and the arrival of foreign-owned and untested ticketing platforms in the market, Ticket2Me remains a trusted partner for Filipino event producers and has launched several key product updates to better serve organizers and audiences nationwide.
Built by and for Filipinos
Since 2018, Ticket2Me has focused on making ticketing simple and responsive to the needs of local promoters, venues, and communities; addressing and solving several pain points the founders experienced when they were also event producers themselves. During COVID-19, Ticket2Me was the only ticketing company that stayed operational by quickly pivoting towards features that allowed event organizers to earn from their online events.
“Ticket2Me also served as the trusted partner for donations of the office of former vice-
president now Naga City mayor Leni Robredo; a co-partner of the Open House movement for Philippine theater workers; and the proponent of other fundraising initiatives for the benefit of displaced workers in the film and performing arts industries and the construction of emergency quarantine facilities in Metro Manila.
“Ticket2Me was the product of my own experiences as a theater fan, show buyer and
entertainment producer here in the Philippines. We will always be committed to supporting the Filipino creative industry,” says Atty. Darwin Mariano, Ticket2Me Founder and Chair.
What’s new on Ticket2Me
To mark its eighth year, Ticket2Me has released a refreshed platform and several new features designed to keep local producers competitive and flexible:
A refreshed look: A redesigned user interface that makes the ticket buyer’s journey—from event discovery to ticket purchase—more seamless than ever.
TicketFlex (Pay-what-you-can): A flexible pricing option that lets buyers choose how much they pay for a ticket within organizer-defined guard rails. This feature increases access and inclusivity, especially for community-led events.
TicketForward (Donation feature): Building on Ticket2Me’s history of social responsibility, organizers can now use this feature to collect donations at checkout or attach a donation-only option to support their chosen causes and beneficiaries.
More robust event registration features: Customizable registration workflows capture the extra data required for conferences, marathons, and other events that need detailed participant information, waivers, or multi-participant entries.
Google Wallet integration: Digital ticket support for Google Wallet allows users offline access to their tickets, a smoother mobile entry experience, and reduces friction at event venue gates.
Expanded revenue support: Organizers can now use Ticket2Me to sell vouchers and add-on merchandise, as well as support bank- and credit card-sponsored campaigns through proper BIN locks. Another feature under this suite allows ticket buyers to purchase their tickets through staggered payment plans which increases the earning potential of organizers while easing the financial burdens for ticket buyers.
Guest user mode: While legacy ticketing systems still require the creation of accounts before they purchase their tickets, Ticket2Me now allows buyers to purchase their tickets without creating an account, reducing purchase fall-out rates and increases the revenue potential and conversion rates of all organizers
Influencer marketing program: Ticket2Me’s marketing and communications team maintains relationships with both micro- and macro-influencers to support shows and events through promo code disbursements and engagement campaigns.
Looking ahead
As Ticket2Me marks eight years in operation, the company says it will continue improving its platform and maintaining its best-in-class customer support.
“We’re excited about the future of live events and the overall experience economy not just in the Philippines but in the region – and we at Ticket2Me are ready to play our part in that story,” according to Julie Bautista, Ticket2Me CEO.
