Vice Ganda has become the subject of online discussion after mentioning the phrase “clean money” during a recent episode of ‘It’s Showtime’, prompting some netizens to speculate that it was a subtle reference to the recent issue involving Heart Evangelista, Mimiyuuuh, and Esnyr.

The remark came while Vice and co-hosts Kim Chiu and Amy Perez were discussing Restaurante Sobrino de Botín in Madrid, Spain, widely recognized as one of the world’s oldest continuously operating restaurants.
Vice jokingly claimed that he had dined at the establishment and ordered cochinillo, saying the bill reached around ₱800,000 before revealing it was only a dream.
“Kumain ako diyan ng cochinillo, ang bill namin parang 800 thousand pero di ko nabayaran kasi nagising ako. Panaginip lang pala.”
After admitting he had never actually been to the restaurant, Amy remarked that dining there was one of their dreams.
Vice then quipped: “Yes! One day we will go there. We will eat good food and pay from our clean money!”
Kim followed up by saying: “Own money. Hard-earned clean money.”
The exchange quickly circulated on social media, with some users linking the “clean money” remark to the recent controversy involving content creators Mimiyuuuh and Esnyr, who previously described actress Anne Curtis as someone they admired for her “hard-earned, clean money.”
Although the influencers did not mention any other personalities, the comment later became associated online with Heart Evangelista after her longtime associate, Resty Rosell, publicly criticized the vlog discussion. Heart also shared a cryptic social media post about longevity amid the online conversation, though she did not directly mention the issue.
Neither Vice Ganda nor Kim Chiu identified anyone when they made the “clean money” remarks on ‘It’s Showtime’, and they did not indicate that the comments were related to the earlier controversy.
As of writing, Vice Ganda, Kim Chiu, and Heart Evangelista have not issued statements addressing the online speculation connecting the remarks to the recent social media issue.
