Eight competing universities National University (NU), Dela Salle University (DLSU), Adamson University (AdU), Far Eastern University (FEU), University of Sto. Tomas (UST), University of the East (UE), University of the Philippines (UP) and Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) heated up the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday (December 2) afternoon for the annual University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Cheerdance Competition. These UAAP schools showcased their incredible stunts, pyramids, tosses and relevant themes to outperform each other and bag this year’s championship trophy and recognition.
There was a mix of emotions on Social Media following the victory of the Adamson University Pep Squad that led to #UAAPCDC2017 becoming a trending topic on Twitter.
Meanwhile, UE Pepsquad won the Bronze Medal and UST Salinggawi got the Silver Medal.
Being one of the most notorious opinionated celebrity on Twitter, Ethel Booba gave her blow-by-blow reactions regarding the UAAP Cheerdance Competition 2017.
She started tweeting on the performance of the 4-time champion NU Pepsquad this wit is undeniable. “Ang theme ng NU ngayon ay gobyerno natin. Hindi nagkakasundo. Charot! #UAAPCDC2017”
Next is the performance from DLSU Pepsquad. “Ang linis ng practice ng La Salle para sa cosplay event. Safe and clean. Charot! #UAAPCDC2017”
Ethel even compared Adamson University’s performance on some of our senators. “Ang lakas ng kapit ng AdU di nalaglag. Ganyang ganyan yung ibang Senador kapit tuko dahil takot malaglag sa posisyon. Charot! #UAAPCDC2017”
Far Eastern University got Ethel’s longest reaction. “Avatar theme ng FEU. Water Bender, Air Bender, Fire Bender, Earth Bender sunod naawa ako dun kay kuya nabend din paa nya. Maganda naman kaso nalaglag pyramid nung inatake ng Fire Nation. Charot! #UAAPCDC2017”
Ethel has really an eye even on the smallest details. “Angry Birds ang theme ng UE kasi yung mga birds nina Kuya super angry. Pero sila ang best in spelling today. Charot! #UAAPCDC2017”
For UP Pep Squad, “May laban ang UP parang sa rally lang may pinaglalaban pero gaya din sa rally may naiwang ibang kalat. Charot! #UAAPCDC2017”
Ethel gave her utmost criticism to UST Salinggawi Dance troupe’s performance. “Naboringan kasi ako sa UST parang kulang sa energy sunod sobra sa glitters. Pasok sa runner up. Charot! #UAAPCDC2017”
And lastly for the Ateneo Blue Babbles Battalion, “Infer naman sa ADMU pinakita nila ang 2nd part ng PE sa college na folk dance. Ang corny ko dito. Charot! #UAAPCDC2017”
