During the GMA Assembly which was hosted by Mike Enriquez and Jennylyn Mercado, GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon shared his confidence about the new and advanced GMA DTT Device of the network.
According to the Kapuso executive, it has a huge advantage over an ordinary digital device.
“Ang ating digital device ay malaki ang advantage over the ordinary digital device ng ating kalaban. Maging yung kinakabit mo lang sa TV o yung SIM card na nilalagay sa mobile phone. We will immediately swap the market with so many of these devices,” he proudly stated.
Prior to this, ABS-CBN is already selling its own digital set-top boxes called the ABS-CBN TVPlus which already sold over 4-million units. ABS-CBN’s digital TV device, which works when connected to a television, can be activated via the ABS-CBN mobile sim.
According to the report last year, the said digital TV signal already covers the entire Mega Manila area.
Meanwhile, the network is already airing an advertisement on how to watch GMA and GMA News TV digitally. This year, the Kapuso promised to make the availability of GMA’s digital signal in other areas of the country soon.
