- Maggie Wilson and Marc Nelson explore paradise in new Metro Channel show “Beached”
- “Beached” takes viewers to nostalgic Boracay in its pilot episode
Embrace the sun this season as hosts Maggie Wilson and Marc Nelson take viewers to different shores in Metro Channel’s new travel show “Beached,” premiering this Saturday (April 28) at 9pm.
Fitspirations and beach bums Maggie and Marc visit the Philippines’ best beaches, and feature top accommodations and activities the islands have to offer. The pair has journeyed to Coron, Puerto Galera, and, of course, Boracay, which is the highlight of its pilot episode.
“Beached” takes a look back at Boracay and brings nostalgia as it recalls how much the island has become a favorite of tourists – with its beautiful sceneries, clear blue waters, white sands, numerous water sports activities, and great food for both local and foreign guests.
Maggie tries out mermaid swimming while Marc enjoys kite boarding at Bulabog beach. The hosts also get to visit their friends, owners of the island’s famous Real Coffee Café.
Metro Channel presents “Beached” as a stand out from other travel shows as it does not just showcase each destination’s tourism highlights, but also encourages environment conservation. The new show taps local non-profit organizations to talk about different issues in each area.
“We do something different every episode. That’s what I love about the show. Not just [talk about] activities, food, or things to see, but also on how we can better the environment or how can better that beach, and that area as well,” said Maggie in a recent “Headstart” interview with Karen Davila.
The former beauty queen also shared that Marc is the perfect co-host and travel buddy as they have been friends for about 15 years already, and she even chose him as one of the ‘ninongs’ to her son.
Marc, meanwhile, is excited to showcase local shores, which he considers some of the best in the world, in the new “Beached” show.
“Join us as we go coastal and explore some of the most breathtaking beaches our country has to offer,” enticed Marc on the program’ss teaser.
