Recognizing the increasing sophistication of java sippers in our city, Starbucks has brought over its Reserve programme in the Philippines!.

Launched in 2010, Starbucks Reserve™, a line of ultra-premium, single-origin coffees is an initiative for the brand to deliver a more geeked out coffee experience especially to coffee drinkers all over the world. Starbucks’ Reserve programme serves a rotational roster of ultra-premium, single-origin seasonal coffees.

The 5 Starbucks Reserve stores will be offering exclusive food and coffees that diners of Starbucks will surely enjoy. First 2 of the 5 Starbucks Reserve stores will be in Tomas Morato in Quezon City and 8 Forbes Town in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. Other 3 Reserve stores that will be open to public include Keyland Centre in Legaspi Village and Signa in Salcedo Village; both in Makati City and Central Square in BGC, Taguig,

First is the food including muffins; granola cheese, double chocolate and carrot that are best to partner with coffee of Starbucks and cost Php 95 each. There are also scones; blueberry, apple cinnamon, and black pepper & cheese to enjoy with friends while having time to pass by after office that cost Php 90 per piece.

Aside from the food, the main highlight of the Starbucks Reserve branches that will surely excite coffee lovers like me is the 4 limited and exclusive whole bean coffees that will be available in Reserve stores only.

The Starbucks Reserve line will be sold in limited quantities in select Starbucks Reserve branches in the Philippines.

  • Starbucks Reserve Sun-Dried Ethiopia Yirgacheffe. Sun-dried coffees from Ethiopia are known worldwide for their lush and intense flavors. The fruity taste of this coffee is due to its location 6,000 feet above sea level where the combination of sun, air, and soil yield a sweet juiciness of ripe berries. Beans are then dried on raised beds to absorb the flavors.
  • Starbucks Reserve Finca Nuevo Mexico. This coffee is grown in the mountain range of Mexico’s Sierra Madre de Chiapas. The Finca Nuevo is a family-owned farm, located in a lush refuge for rare wildlife. The resulting coffee is a bright and complex cup with a candied citrus and brown sugar sweetness that taste unique and toasty.
  • Starbucks Reserve Sumatra Blue Batak. The Sumatra Blue Batak is grown on the southern shores of Lake Toba, in Sumatra’s famous coffee-growing region. The Batak tribesmen grow bold coffee with smooth, earthy, and deep flavors with a syrupy body and sweet herbal notes.
  • Starbucks Reserve Zambia Peaberry Terranova Estate. The Zambia coffee is grown in the Terranova Estate, located 4,000 feet above sea level. The coffee here is medium-bodied with hints of apple and vanilla, mixed with handpicked peaberry beans.

The Starbucks Reserve Finca Nuevo Mexico and Starbucks Reserve Sumatra Blue Batak whole beans coffees cost Php 595 each while the Starbucks Reserve Sun-Dried Ethiopia Yirgacheffe and Starbucks Reserve Zambia Peaberry whole beans coffees cost Php 795 each.

In its aim to deliver the perfect pour, all of Reserve’s baristas underwent rigorous five-level training scheme as part of the Starbucks Coffee Masters programme to master methods.
