It’s summer time again and it’s the season for beaches. Yes, this is the season where a lot of people go to the beach to be kissed by the sun or to dip in the cold waters of the sea.
Reef, the US’ top name in surf and sand apparel, has launched a new collection of shoes and sandals on March 19 at the Mall of Asia By The Bay Sands. Reef presented their new Rover Collection, a nod to the brand’s Just Passing Through mentality. This is a new line of men’s and women’s footwear designed with a traveling surfer in mind. The collection also showcases Reef Swellular™ Technology in our footwear. Styles are relaxed yet cool, recalling laidback summers and great waves. The footwear highlights Reef Swellular™ Technology which is made up of three distinct layers.
Reef also hosted the premier of Surfing 7107, a documentary on the surfer lifestyle here in the Philippines titled “Surf 7107-La Union”. This short documentary features surfing in the Philippines particularly in San Juan, La Union, and how much surfing has impacted lesser known places around the country, and has turned these places into booming and burgeoning surf destinations and tourist havens. The first of hopefully many documentaries, it starts in La Union where the first ever surf school in the country was born.
The event was hosted by Mara Lopez, who started surfing at the age of 5.
