Miss World 2013 Megan Young, a former Kapuso-turned-Kapamilya is returning to GMA Network.
The Beauty Queen signed a contract with GMA Network’s Entertainment Head Lilybeth Rasonable and GMA Network’s Chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon on Tuesday morning, March 31.
Megan will now be joining her sister Lauren Young and her boyfriend Mikael Daez in the same network. “Masaya kasi syempre dito ako nagsimula. Masaya akong babalik kasi I’ve grown so much as a person, as an artist.”
Megan will be joining Dingdong Dantes as the host of “Starstruck VI.” She is also rumored to topbill a remake of a Mexicanobella acquired by GMA Network.
Megan started her career as a finalist of “Starstruck Season 2” where Mike Tan and Ryza Cenon emerged as the Ultimate Survivor. After a series of shows in GMA Network, she decided to move to ABS-CBN as part of Star Magic. She was given a lead role on a pre-primetime slot together with Zanjoe Marudo in “Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Hiyas.” Young was crowned as Miss World 2013 in Bali, Indonesia, making her the first Filipina to win the title of Miss World since its creation in 1951.
