Joshua Garcia and his ex-girlfriend Julia Barretto have announced that they decided to become just “best friends” again last month. Now, Garcia is being paired with one of Barretto’s close friends Janella Salvador. With this development, many are curious about how their working relationship will be like while doing the new series The Killer Bride.
During the media con for ABS-CBN’s upcoming series The Killer Bride on Thursday night (July 25) at the Dolphy Theater inside the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City, Salvador admitted that she’s excited for this project with Garcia.
“Na-excite talaga ako noong malaman kong makaka-work ko si Josh. Kasi, ilang beses na dapat kaming magkakatrabaho. Pero laging hindi natutuloy. So, I think this is the right time, the right project for us to be able to work with each other.”
Garcia added, “Ganoon din po ako. Ahh, masaya ako, kasi siyempre opportunity ito. And andami na nga naming mga project na hindi natutuloy. And this time, finally, tuloy na siya. And thank you kay Lord sa blessing.”
The two were supposed to work together on three previous projects but one would either be replaced by another actor or moved to another project.
Garcia also revealed that they also prepared for the project. “Iyong… siyempre, first time naming magtrabaho, e. So, may ilangan. Pero na-break namin iyon, kasi nag-provide ang unit namin ng workshop,” he said.
Salvador said, “Sensual! Sensual!”
Then Garcia continued, “Sensual workshop. Nag-workshop kami… nagka-bonding kami roon during mga break. And may mga ginawa rin kaming… ahh, nangangabayo kami. Tinuturuan kaming mangabayo. May bonding din tayo roon, di ba? Tapos, sa set… hanggang sa naging kumportable na kami. Mas magaan ngayon sa eksena.”
Working with Garcia is not that hard, Salvador said, “Hindi naman naging mahirap na maka-adjust.”
Garcia added, “Parang parehas naman kaming game! Gawin natin ‘to!”
