Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards’ Hello, Love, Goodbye has earned more than Php 400 million since it opened in 465 cinemas nationwide on Wednesday, July 31.
The film showcases the colorful lives of OFWs abroad and their sacrifices for their families here in the Philippines.
Hello, Love, Goodbye centers on the love story of Joy (played by Kathryn) and Ethan (portrayed by Alden), Filipino workers based in Hong Kong. Ethan, a bartender, is keen on romantically pursuing Joy, a domestic helper, who is wholly dedicated to providing for her family.

Kathryn and Alden went through preparations to give all for their roles. Director Cathy Garcia-Molina also pushed them to their limits. Did her strict directions lead to a conflict with Kathryn?
In an interview with LionhearTV, director Cathy shared, “Hindi kame nag-away, ayus lang sya.. Maybe I expected lang na naiintindihan niya ako, dahil siguro dala lang ng sobrang hirap kaya lang din siya nagalit. Pero hindi. Nasaktan lang ako pero hindi. Hindi nag-away.
“Mahal ko siya.. Mahal ko si Kathryn and I think mahal niya ako, sabi nya. So di ba pagmahal nyo ang isa’t isa nag-aaway kayo.. Napapagalitan palagi,” Direct said.

She added, “Si Alden hindi kame ngkaroon ng ganoon kasi hindi sya kailangan, walang eksena na kailangan pigain ko sya. In the scenes naman na kailangan sya maging emotional, he knows.. He knew the emotion was. Kaya hindi ko na sya kailangan sundutin ng bongga.
“Pero nakakatuwa nga, dun sa scene sa pier sinusundutan ko na si Kathryn, hindi ko alam na nasundutan ko rin pala ng bongga eto (referring to Alden), naiyak sya.. Iyak ng iyak. Ang ending niyakap ko silang dalawa.
“Actually ang ginawa ko lang naman talaga is nilabas ko yung anung meron na sa kanya. Ang sabi ko lang tlga, ‘Wag mo akong artehan kasi I really cannot tolerate acting on my set.'”
On Instagram, Director Cathy, once again shared her happiness and gratitude over the success of the romantic movie.
Hello, Love, Goodbye will hit UAE cinemas starting August 8. The Phenomenal Box Office Queen, Kathryn, and the Pambansang Bae, Alden, will grace the UAE premiere on August 9 (Friday) in Dubai and on August 10 (Saturday) in Abu Dhabi.
