Kapuso actor Derrick Monasterio feels pressured by the upcoming rivalry with Coco Martin.
Monasterio is one of the stars of the upcoming Kapuso teledrama Beautiful Justice which will directly compete with ABS-CBN’s FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
During the presscon of the show, Monasterio was asked how he feels about the upcoming match-up with the long-running teleserye and being rival to Coco Martin.
The young actor said he’s happy and honored that GMA network trusted him with the project that will compete with the popular Kapamilya teleserye
“Honored and pressured, siyempre,” Derrick said.
“Kasi siyempre, kahit anong gawin mo, ratings pa rin naman. Honored siyempre dahil may tiwala sila sa akin,” he added.
Beautiful Justice will be top-billed by three Kapuso ladies: Yasmien Kurdi, Bea Binene, and Gabbi Garcia. It will be the latest Kapuso drama to compete head-to-head with the long-running FPJ’s Ang Probisyano which has remained unbeatable for almost four years.
The Coco Martin-led action drama teleserye has gunned down every opponent that GMA Network has fielded against it, the latest being Sahaya.
Even the biggest Kapuso stars Dennis Trillo and Dingdong Dantes have conceded to the Kapamilya teleserye during their match-up.
Now, can Beautiful Justice be a worthy opponent to FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano? Or will it just meet the same fate as its predecessors?
