After doing drama with ABS-CBN’s Halik, Romnick Sarmenta is back on television as the latest addition to the cast of the long-running primetime series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Romnick was introduced during the September 6 episode as Mr. Miller’s right-hand man. In the episode, Romnick made quick work out of a cocky group who delayed payment to his boss.
Romnick is the latest guest star to join FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano after the likes of Lorna Tolentino, Judy Ann Santos, and Baron Geisler in recent months.
This is Romnick’s return to action after so many years. In the past, he gained widespread recognition as an action star, getting himself through fight scenes in the movies like Sa Aking Puso: Marcos ‘Bong’ Manalang Story (1992), Sonny Boy: Public Enemy Number 1 of Cebu City (1992), Stella Magtanggol (1992), Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa (1993), Mario Sandoval (1993), Bawal na Gamot (1994), Bawal na Gamot 2 (1995), and Berdugo (1998).
Romnick was one of the most sought-after actors from the ’80s to ’90s. In his prime, he was paired with different leading ladies such as Jennifer Sevilla, Sheryl Cruz, and his wife of 18 years Harlene Bautista. But the most popular one was his team-up with Sheryl.
