Sheryn Regis claims she never fails to sustain high notes: “Gusto ko lagi akong handa”

In an interview with Cebuana singer Sheryn Regis, she explained that Morissette Amon might just have been tired during her performance last Sunday on ASAP Natin ‘To so she was not able to sustain the high notes she was aiming for.

Sheryn also emphasized that she always make it a point to have time to practice and if she knows she can’t sustain the high notes, she won’t force it.

In addition to that, Sheryn recalls her early performance in Umagang Kay Ganda, where she was asked to sing “She’s Gone.”

She admitted that she tried to do the sign of the cross multiple times when she thought she might not be able to sustain the high notes. Luckily, Sheryn was able to nail it.

Like kanina sa Umagang Kanina, chinallenge ako, pina kanta ako ng ‘She’s Gone.’ Parang test ba ‘to ng buhay? Pero nakayanan ko naman, naka ilang sign of the cross ako.”

Furthermore, Sheryn explained that not all singers’ performances will be perfect but apologizing to the audience whenever you fail the high notes is necessary, as it is part of your responsibility as a singer and entertainer.

Pero ‘pag may nangyari na ganon, what will I do?  You have to ask for apology, responsibilidad mo ‘yon. Your job is to entertain and also your responsibility.”

Sheryn Regis is set to have her comeback concert on February 28, 2020 at Music Museum titled Back to Love. Sheryn’s concert will feature her Top 40 Pinoy love songs.
