The Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford tandem will allegedly be back on TV as they are being eyed by the Kapatid network to host a noontime show.
The proposed program is a blocktimer show of Congressman Albee Benitez who hired Star Magic executive Johnny Manahan as a consultant.
With this, it is expected the more Star Magic artists will also soon have their shows on TV5.
If this project will push through, they will have to compete against It’s Showtime and Eat Bulaga which are the established noontime shows of ABS-CBN and GMA network respectively.
Billy was one of the hosts of It’s Showtime but left the show when he had his solo hosting in the Kapamilya shows like Your Face Sounds Familiar, Pinoy Boyband Superstar, Little Big Shots, and Idol Philippines.
Like Billy, Luis also worked with It’s Showtime before when he became a guest host and judge on the said noontime show.
Luis also hosted several game shows like Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal, Minute to Win It, Family Feud, I Can See Your Voice, and World of Dance Philippines.
Billy and Luis worked together on the shows, Panahon Ko ‘to!: Ang Game Show ng Buhay Ko, and Pilipinas Got Talent. Their tandem is undeniably one of the most popular so it’s no wonder why TV5 has plans of working with them.
TV5 had several noontime shows before, namely P.O.5, Fan*tastik, Sunday Funday, Game ‘N Go, Happy Truck ng Bayan, and Happy Truck HAPPinas, however, all of these shows are short-lived and unsuccessful.
Willie Revillame also tried hosting a noontime show entitled, “Wowowillie”, which lasted less than a year and Revillame eventually moved to GMA.
Will the tandem of Billy and Luis hosting a noontime show succeed on TV5?
