In an article from philstar.com, top management of ABS-CBN has called the attention of staff from their noontime shows namely “ASAP 20” and “It’s Showtime” to improve their shows’ performances. The ratings of the said two shows have been overtaken by its rival counterparts from GMA Network namely “Sunday PinaSaya” and “Eat Bulaga.”
While “Eat Bulaga” has been consistently beating It’s Showtime on ratings for the past weeks by creating the “Kalyeserye” segment featuring the love team ALDUB on weekdays, it was a surprise for the case of “ASAP 20” to be suddenly overtaken by the newly launched show “Sunday PinaSaya,” knowing that “ASAP” has been on the air for 20 years in TV history.
In the August 30, 2015 Kantar Media ratings, it’s being shown that “Sunday PinaSaya” have gotten ahead of “ASAP 20.”
While on the weekdays noontime battle, It’s Showtime has doing some attempts to compete with the popularity of ALDUB by introducing “Pastillas Girl”.
Although the two shows needs to be more vigilant and improve on better segments or ideas to atleast catch or outdo their rival shows.
