Angel Locsin has quashed reports that she has called it quits with fiancé Neil Arce.
On the Instagram account of the real-life Darna, she posted a screenshot of YouTube videos that allegedly says she and Neil Arce had broken up, “Oh wow. Can’t believe some people would stoop this low. Why do some people make this much effort to put me in a bad light? That is the question.”
The videos allege that the breakup came from the postponed wedding of Neil and Angel.
Neil attempted to explain the issue by posting on his Instagram, “Muntikan nako maging victim ng fake news. Buti hindi Neil Arci ang pangalan ko.”
Last June, in a joint interview, Locsin said she and Arce had yet to determine whether they would postpone their wedding which was originally scheduled to take place this year.
Locsin refused to reveal the ceremony’s exact date, but she teased that’s in the near future.
“Parang masyadong maaga to decide kung tuloy or anong mangyayari. Hindi natin alam baka next week may vaccine na. Hindi na lang po kami magko-complain. Maghihintay na lang kami kung ano mang mangyayari.”
“I think we’ll decide somewhere near our date na lang if we’re gonna move it or not.”
Currently, the happy couple is working together on the “Iba ‘Yan” public service initiative show that Locsin hosts and Arce directs.
The series features inspirational stories about Filipinos supporting other vulnerable Filipinos.
