Now that ABS-CBN has returned to free TV through the A2Z channel 11, actress-dancer Maja Salvador was asked if she has any regrets about moving to TV5.
At the media conference for Brightlight Productions, Maja said that she would have had regrets for her move if she was only thinking about herself. She also noted that she moved to help Kapamilyas, who needed work after ABS-CBN’s shutdown.
“Regrets. Siguro magkakaroon po ako ng regrets kung sarili ko lang yung inisip ko. Again tulad po ng mga sinabi ko kanina isang malaking bagay na nag pa-oo sa akin ay yung makakatulong po ako ng aking mga kapamilya na nawalan ng trabaho,” said Maja.
She also added that she moved to TV5 to help Mr. M, Johnny Manahan.
“For the meantime, since ang ating tatay si Mr. M po ay talagang naglambing kailangan ko po syang samahan. Parang di ako makatanggi kay Mr. M lalo na via zoom sinabi nya na ‘Maja, Kailangan kita’ so how can I say no to him,” said Maja.
Maja also noted that her ASAP family and bosses in ABS-CBN understood her move to TV5.
“And ofcourse my ASAP family, my bosses in ABS-CBN, naiintindihan nila lahat. Hindi naman po ako, lalabas dito or gagawin itong show na to kung hindi maayos po yung pag-uusap ng lahat,” Maja noted.
Maja hosts the newest TV5’s newest musical variety show, Sunday Noontime Live, alongside Piolo Pascual, Jake Ejercito, Donny Pangilinan, and Catriona Gray. It airs this October 18, 2020, via TV5.
Maja started her career with ABS-CBN back in 2003. She gained popularity for her roles in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Wildflower, and The Killer Bride. She also gained the monicker Dance Princess during her performances in ABS-CBN’s Sunday noontime musical program, ASAP.
