Pastillas Girl of the ABS-CBN noontime program “It’s Showtime” has been dragged to various issues involving her personal life. The world already knew of her love story since her life is an open book where people can follow her story on TV and even on Twitter.
Today on the “Nasaan Ka Mr. Pastillas?” It’s Showtime segment, questions from followers and netizens are being read and directed to Pastillas Girl. Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda are task to ask the questions and one of the questions that came up today is the issue of Angelica Jane Yap aka Pastillas Girl of having a child. It was Vice Ganda who read this question not once but twice, since it is a very personal.
Vice Ganda is very much concern about asking the question coming from a certain “Helo Melo” and even hesitated to continue by showing Pastillas Girl the written query first, while Anne Curtis looks over to catch a glimpse. Vice is simply asking her permission.
Vice said “Gusto ko munang basahin mo if okay sa iyo ito kasi ayokong mag-impose.” [E- I just want you to read this first if this question is just okay with you since I don’t want to impose.] Pastillas Girl took some moment to read it then nodded, as if she says it’s okay.
Then Vice Ganda go ahead and read the question “Ang tanong niya- may anak ka na ba?” [ The question is- do you have a child?]
At this point, studio audience have blank look on their faces and with genuine emotions Pastillas Girl answers- “May pagkakamali ako sa past ate Vice, doon sa mga pagkakamali na yun may matututunan ka. And you never judge a person dahil nagkamali ka kasi, wala naman perpektong tao diba? Ah, nagkamali ka bumangon ka. Sa tingin ko may dahilan nga lahat kung bakit nangyari yung mga nangyari. And sa tingin ko yung mga experience na masasakit before, yun yong naging sandata ko ngayon para maging strong as a person.” [E- I admit I’ve done some mistakes in the past ate Vice, and you’ll learn something from those mistakes. And you never judge a person through mistakes because nobody is perfect, right? When you did something wrong you should stand up. In my opinion there is a reason for everything and why things happened as it should. My painful experiences in the past are my weapons today in order for me to become strong as a person.]
After this statement from Angelica Yap, Vice Ganda repeats the question by saying “Uulitin ko yung tanong, may anak kana ba?” [I will repeat the question- Do you have a child?). Then Pastillas Girl answers back by saying with such conviction “Wala po akong anak ate Vice.” [I don’t have a child ate Vice.]
This very intense moment is being shared among the people in the studio and those who are watching at home. With the out-pour of emotions Pastillas Girl held her head up and is truly a victor amidst all the controversies surrounding her popularity. The question being asked is if Pastillas Girl is a mother, may have been not directly answered but people could simply read between the lines.
