Buppy. drops his latest melancholy tune ‘Violence’

Extremely exciting new hit-maker Buppy. drops his latest melancholy tune “Violence”, available to stream everywhere now. The 17-year-old continues the success of his melancholic brand of hip-hop with a pop punk tinge, a genre currently taking the world by storm, with a slick and spectacular video dropping Jan 8th.

With a beat produced by the talented BOIA, the track lilts its way in a catchy and meaningful fashion. Sweet electric piano fills the texture, over huge hits and percussion that keeps the track moving. Buppy’s vocals float over the top with their catchy lead hook, while MIDI horns give a perfectly suited counter-melody. The lyrics, co-written with his sister Eleanor Kingston, speak of the breakdown of a toxic relationship.

Not only is “Violence” sonically stylish, but its video, dropping Jan 8th is top quality too. Directed by frequent collaborator Anthony Palmer, it cuts between scenic views and cool studio lights, illustrating the music perfectly while telling a story through wonderfully abstract situations.

Buppy explains “‘Violence’ is a reflection of ‘when love turns violent,’” highlighting “the mental manipulation & emotional trauma that cloud your perception of what it means to love as a teenager.”

His lyrics reflect his tough childhood and the trials of growing up, something that thousands of teens can relate to. Originally from Utah, Buppy and his musical partner and sister moved to LA to follow the dreams that they are well on their way of achieving. Combined with BOIA’s beats, the trio are producing popular but original tracks that are completely of the zeitgeist. Expect big things, starting with “Violence”.

“Violence” is available to stream everywhere now.
